What is the difference between a classical and acoustic guitar?
Classical guitars use nylon strings, whereas steel-string acoustics are often referred to as “steel string.” The thicker, mellow sound of these instruments comes from their spectrum of frequencies tuned with flat wound metal strings. Nylon has less mass, so they’re easier for beginners or those who don’t have much hand strength but still want quality notes without any bells and whistles attached!
