Which guitar is best for beginners?

Which guitar is best for beginners? Which guitar you should buy depends on what style of music you will play. If you like to shred on the high frets, an electric Guitar with strings high off the fretboard would be better because it allows for easier string access. For folk, country, and delta blues styles of playing, a hollow body electric would provide nice mellow tones. If you are looking at steel-string acoustics, look at ones with a shorter scale length as they have a warmer sound which is produced by the thicker strings vibrating at a lower frequency than those on a longer scale length.

Before deciding which guitar to purchase ask yourself what kind of sound do I want from my instrument? Which body type feels good in my hands? Which neck profile feels best against my palm? Which instruments look the coolest to me? Which guitar has a price that I am comfortable with? Which guitar is easiest for me to play and get a good tone from? Which guitars would look the best in my apartment/room/mancave (if you play electric, keep in mind how much it will be heard outside your room; make sure not to annoy your neighbours)?

Once you have decided which type of instrument you want, take it to a trusted dealer who can show you what else they offer in that price range. Play multiple instruments and don’t go for the one that sounds or feels the best right away – especially when choosing between an acoustic guitar vs electric, trust your gut feeling. ESP guitars and Martinez make great entry-level guitars, but they aren’t the only ones.

After you have chosen which guitar you want to buy go home and research its specific model online. Some brands are known for excellent build quality regardless of price-point (Gibson), while others brands may not be as dependable regardless of which model it is (Squier). Take into consideration the instrument’s warranty before purchasing, you don’t want any problems shortly after bringing your new baby home. Which guitar is best for beginners? Which guitar you should buy depends on what style of music you will play.
