At Music Specialists, we believe in quality — and that includes standing by the gear we sell. Whether it’s a guitar, keyboard, or set of strings, we want you to love it as much as we do.
All our instruments come with a warranty. The length and coverage depends on the brand and product type — but rest assured, we only stock products we believe in.
You're also protected by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which guarantees that products:
Are of acceptable quality
Match the description, sample, or demo model
Note: Some guitars may differ slightly from product photos due to the natural beauty of the timber and grain — that’s the charm of real wood!
Are fit for purpose
Come with clear title and no hidden charges
Have spare parts and repair facilities available for a reasonable time after purchase
If your item develops a fault and it's covered by warranty, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund — depending on the situation and includes the following:
The item:
Is faulty
Differs significantly from what was advertised
Doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do
Just reach out to us — we’ll handle the process with the supplier or manufacturer and do everything we can to sort it out quickly and easily. We’re here to help get you back to making music as soon as possible.
If a refund has been offered due to a faulty item, we will process your refund on the return of the item and we will process the refund as soon as possible. You will receive confirmation when the refund process has started and any refund will be provided back to the original source of purchase (eg. PayPal, Credit Cards etc).
We do not offer exchange on items. For items that are covered by warranty and may meet the criteria for repair, exchange or refund. We will process this under the warranty terms and conditions.
For health, safety, and copyright reasons, we’re unable to accept returns on the following:
Sheet music, books, CDs, and DVDs (due to copyright laws)
Consumables, like strings, leads, picks, etc.
Hygiene-sensitive items, including microphones, headphones, recorders, reeds, harmonicas, and mouthpieces
Please hang on to your receipt or invoice — you’ll need it for any warranty or return claims.
If you’ve got a question, or something’s not quite right, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re real people, passionate about music, and we’re always happy to help.
