ORDERS AND CONFIRMATION
Acceptance of orders is entirely at the discretion of Music Specialists Maitland. Orders are not accepted by Music Specialists Maitland until we provide you with an email confirmation of your order, including availability and estimated shipping date. Please ensure that you provide us with your correct contact details when placing orders.
All new products are sold with the manufacturers’ warranty. The terms of the warranty vary depending upon the manufacturer and product. Except to the extent required by law or to the extent otherwise specified, Music Specialists Maitland provides no separate warranty.
Stock marked ex-Demo, Used or Pre-Owned or similar descriptions are not covered by warranty unless specifically stated.
As we are a music store many of the guitars, amps, heads, cabs, cases, drums and percussion that we sell as NEW may have been on display in our shop and may have been lightly played, used or taken out of the box by our experts to assess their condition. All of these products are checked for faults and AS-NEW condition by our experts before dispatch. All of these products, except for those listed as USED or TRADE-INs, are sold with FULL MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY. Sometimes they may not always come with original packaging due to the original manufacturers packaging being deemed unsuitable for shipping. Upon request we are happy to supply these products ‘in-the-box’ as they are supplied to us direct from the distributor however this can sometimes involve delays in getting products shipped depending on the availability of the product.
All other products including Guitar effects pedals, PA, Audio, Recording, Keyboards and Accessories are sold as Brand New with FULL MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY and are shipped in the original manufacturers packaging unless otherwise stated.
Occasionally we may offer for sale Pre-loved instruments. These are second hand items and as such do not carry a manufacturer’s warranty. They may or may not have original packaging and original accessories / components.
The condition of trade in items is explained on each individual item.
Because prices, product descriptions and availability can change quickly, Music Specialists Maitland does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of information on this website and will not be responsible for any typographical errors or errors in illustrations, pictures or descriptions. Pictures of products are for illustration only and actual product may differ for the picture shown. Products represented on this site are not always in stock. All item descriptions, images, product logos, availability and pricing are subject to change at any time without notice. Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfil all your items at time of purchase. In this instance, we will fulfil the available products to you, and contact you about whether you would prefer to await restocking of the back-ordered item or if you would prefer for us to process a refund.
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase.
This price will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer.
We offer free shipping on items over $199. Some items such as large and heavy items over 15kg are excluded from this offer and shipping costs will be calculated at the time of checkout.
Music Specialists Maitland will happily honour any valid warranty claims, provided a claim is submitted within 30 days of receipt of items.
Customers will be required to pre-pay the return shipping, however we will reimburse you upon successful warranty claim.
Upon return receipt of items for warranty claim, you can expect Music Specialists Maitland to process your warranty claim within 7 days. Call us on 02 4933 0633 to discuss further.
Most new products listed on the webpage are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms vary between different manufacturers. If your item is faulty within the warranty period we will either refer you to a local repairer, or ask you to send your item back to have it repaired or replaced at the supplier’s discretion.
You are entitled to a refund or return or exchange or credit if the goods that you have purchased are:
- Differ significantly from the goods advertised
- Do not do what they are reasonably expected to do.
We do not generally offer refunds because you have changed your mind.
The following items are non-refundable:
- Sheet music, CDs, DVD’s and books cannot be returned to due copyright restrictions.
- Consumables such as strings, leads , picks etc
- Recorders, microphones, headphones, reeds, harmonicas and mouthpieces cannot be returned due to hygiene reasons.
Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase.

In general, domestic shipments are in transit for 2 – 7 days – Be advised these times may exceed 7 days due to public holidays.
Orders are usually dispatched within 2 to 4 business days of payment of order
Items Out Of Stock
If an item is out of stock, we will wait for the item to be available before dispatching your order. Existing items in the order will be reserved while we await this item.
Delivery Time Exceeded
If delivery time has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.
Change of Delivery Address
For change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched.
P.O. Box Shipping
We are unable to offer delivery to P.O Boxes.
Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking link from which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider.
If you change your mind before you have received your order, we are able to accept changes or store credit to it at any time before the order has been dispatched. If an order has already been dispatched, please refer to our refund process. If an order has been placed and you are unhappy with the time frame, another suitable item will be sourced, refunds are not permitted for long ETA.
Parcels are insured for loss and damage up to the value as stated by the courier.
PARCELS DAMAGED IN TRANSIT
If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, if possible, please reject the parcel from the courier and get in touch with our store via email firstname.lastname@example.org. If the parcel has been delivered without you being present, please contact us.
PARCEL LOST IN TRANSIT
We will process a refund or replacement as soon as the courier has conducted an investigation and deemed the parcel lost.
